Accommodation policies

By booking with DIGS Alojamientos you accept these conditions. Please read them in full: they apply to every guest in the reservation.

DIGS Alojamientos is not a hotel. We are an accommodation business with independent properties in different areas of Valledupar: there is no reception or on-site staff, and everything is coordinated by WhatsApp.

Booking and payments

  • The reservation is secured only with a 20% deposit of the total price. Without the deposit, the apartment remains available to other people.
  • 100% of the price must be paid before check-in. Without full payment the access code is not sent.
  • Bookings made through Booking, Airbnb, Expedia, Despegar or other channels: the card registered on the platform is a guarantee, not a payment. If the platform did not charge you, the reservation is secured with the 20% deposit paid to DIGS. Without that deposit, DIGS will handle the cancellation with the platform, according to its rules.
  • Charges for pets, additional guests, early check-in or late check-out are paid separately and are disclosed before payment.

Cancellations and changes

  • Cancellations or date changes: up to 3 days before check-in. Date changes are subject to availability. If you cancel in time, the amount paid is refunded minus bank or payment-gateway fees.
  • After that deadline, or in case of no-show, there is no refund.
  • During high season and festivities (Festival Vallenato, Holy Week, December–January, long holiday weekends, mid-year holidays and special events) cancellations are not accepted.

Guest registration

  • Before check-in, every guest must send their ID document by WhatsApp (ID card, passport or birth certificate; the front side is enough). Full name, document type and number and date of birth are recorded, as required by Colombian law (SIRE / TRA).
  • Minors may only stay with their parents or with an authorized adult, stating the relationship.
  • No documents and no full payment means no check-in.
  • Only the people and pets registered in the reservation may enter.

Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in from 3:00 p.m. · Check-out until 12:00 noon.
  • Access is self check-in with a digital lock: the code is sent by WhatsApp on the day of arrival. Nobody receives you at the apartment.
  • Cameras in the outdoor areas verify the number of people and pets entering.
  • Early check-in (subject to availability and cleaning; confirmed the same day): from COP 35,000 depending on arrival time — 12:00 noon COP 35,000 · 11:00 a.m. COP 50,000 · 10:00 a.m. COP 65,000 · 9:00 a.m. COP 80,000 · 8:00 a.m. COP 95,000.
  • Late check-out: COP 25,000 per hour, only if the apartment has no arrival that day. If you have not reported your departure by 12:00 noon, the extra hour is charged.

House rules

  • Prohibited: parties, gatherings, excessive alcohol consumption, smoke (cigarettes, vapes or any substance), drugs, prostitution and any illegal activity.
  • Quiet hours from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. During the day, keep noise moderate: these are residential buildings.
  • No visitors or unregistered people are allowed.
  • Pets are welcome in all apartments if declared when booking, for COP 15,000 per pet per night. The private room in Garupal does not accept pets. Guests are responsible for any damage or extra cleaning.

Not included

  • Towels are not provided. Each guest brings their own.
  • The Garupal / Parque de la Vida properties have no private parking: vehicles are parked on the street, like the neighbors do, at the guest's own risk. The neighborhood has a watchman; if you want him to keep an eye on your car, agree on a tip with him directly. There is a paid private car park about 400 m away.

Breaches

We are strict. In case of parties, repeated noise, smoke, drugs, unregistered people or any prohibited conduct:

  • Immediate eviction of all guests, with the support of our security staff and the Police, and a report to the competent authorities.
  • No refund of the amount paid.
  • Fines: unauthorized party or gathering COP 500,000; smoke inside the apartment COP 200,000; unregistered person or pet COP 100,000 each per night; damage: replacement value. They are deducted from the deposit and must be paid before check-out.
  • Guests who breach these rules are banned from DIGS Alojamientos.

Personal data

By booking, you authorize DIGS Alojamientos to collect and process the guests' identification data (including images of documents) solely to register the stay, comply with legal reporting obligations (SIRE / TRA) and manage the reservation, in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012. Document images are used to extract the data and are not shared with third parties other than the authorities that require them. You may exercise your rights (to access, update or request deletion of your data) by writing to our WhatsApp +57 320 548 8752.

Acceptance

By paying the deposit, sending your documents or entering the apartment, you declare that you have read and accept these policies on behalf of all guests in your reservation.
